    Description

A splendid blend of 40% Cabernet Sauvignon 30% Merlot 20% Cabernet Franc and 10% Petit Verdot. From 50 to 60-year-old vines on clay, gravel and limestone, this relaxed, fully mature Graves is a delight. This family-run estate uses almost no additives and minimal intervention in winemaking, to great results. Manual harvest with meticulous sorting. Vatting 4 to 6 weeks in cement vats, pouring in mid-November. Aging in barrels, 1/3 renewed every year.

    ABOUT CHATEAU MASSEREAU

Château Massereau is an extreme viticulture practiced with passion. The constant search for improvement at all stages of the production of original and naturally authentic wines. Massereau works naturally, but the style here is traditional. The wines are elegant and structured, and they age very well. The Graves is aged in neutral (not new) oak barrels and there's never any acidification or chaptalization done here. Farming is organic, and has been for about 20 years.

    ABOUT THIS BRAND

    Chateau Massereau

Château Massereau is an extreme viticulture practiced with passion. The constant search for improvement at all stages of the production of original and naturally authentic wines. Massereau works naturally, but the style here is traditional. The wines are elegant and structured, and they age very well. Located in Barsac, about thirty kilometres southeast of Bordeaux, Château Massereau dominates the landscape with its three towers and the rows of vines that descend to Ciron. The estate was acquired in 2000 by the Chaigneau family, and extends over 19 hectares of which only 10 hectares are planted for production. The vineyard has never seen the intensified industrialised production that has hit the rest of the appellation. The Family have decided to farm the vineyard as naturally as possible and there are no chemicals used or additives in the wines.
