Cyprien Arlaud gave the name Scritch to his 100% Chardonnay, in order to refer to the sound of chalk and thus pay homage to the region's terroir. The Chardonnay vines are located at an altitude of around 350 metres and flourish fully on the estate's limestone soils, bringing a breathtaking minerality to the wines. In the cellar, the grapes are vinified in a traditional and low-intervention manner. The aging for several months in barrels of several wines gives the cuvée a beneficial hint of fat that allows the wood not to take over.
