Marc Sorrel Hermitage 'Le Greal' 2021
$685.00
Description
100% Syrah/ Shiraz. Very expressive nose with pure berries, very subtle clove and spice and a slight menthol note. A refined palate with depth as well. The tannins are fine and very well managed. Bright red fruits, a slight smoke note beneath – wonderful grip. Yes, it is lighter, but it is not wanting for intensity and purity. Plenty of acidity should see this age very well indeed, leaving a light and elegant wine. Wonderful wine for the vintage.

Marc Sorrel took over the Sorrel Domaine from his father in 1982. While he was thrown headfirst into the deep end after his father’s death Marc has managed to create a brand that can consider itself to be an outstanding producer of refined, traditional Hermitage wines. Marc is a fierce traditionalist and his philosophy is non-interventionist, which is reflected in the style of wine he makes – full, well structured and long lived.
