Best Chenin Blanc from Vouvray

The Domaine des Aubuisières, located in the Loire Valley, is one of the jewels of the "Vouvray" appellation. Since 1982, Bernard Fouquet has been at the head of the Domaine des Aubuisières. Bernard Fouquet, a quiet-spoken man, is making some of the most serious Vouvray. He is now regarded in France and the international press as one of the top three Vouvray producers. No one succeeds better than Bernard in capturing the mineral tones unique to Vouvray’s soil, with the marvelous balance of explosive fruit and titillating sensation of the Chenin Blanc grape. The whole vineyard is permanently grassed, a commitment to biodiversity that we are committed to cultivate. This culture allows us to preserve and optimize the biological activity and life of the soil. 

In 2021, Charles Lesaffre took over the estate accompanied by Bernard, whom he had known for many years. At the head of a 34-hectare estate, Charles wishes to follow in Bernard's footsteps, producing still and sparkling wines that are straightforward and complex.
